Суть: Стратегия игры в рулетку на «равных шансах». Игрок устанавливает размер первоначальной ставки, удваивает её при выигрыше, при проигрыше увеличивает ставку, руководствуясь определённой прогрессией: 1-1-1-2-2-4-4-8-8. И так, пока не выиграет дважды подряд. После двойного выигрыша, цикл начинается сначала.

Пример: Первоначальная ставка 100 у.е. Предположим, мы ставим на красное, и выигрываем, значит, в следующий раз ставим 200, в случае повторного выигрыша  возвращаемся в начало. Ставим сотку снова. На этот раз проигрываем, ставим ещё 100 – проигрыш – опять 100 – сейчас и далее проигрыши – 200-200-400-400-800-800. В итоге мы проигрываем все 9 раз подряд, расстраиваемся, меняем стратегию, а то и вовсе завязываем с игрой в этот вечер, занавес. Называется эта система «31», как не сложно догадаться, потому что сумма всех ставок равняется данному числу – что ж, по крайней мере, вы точно знаете, сколько ставок в первоначальном банке вам нужно иметь.
